The hotel draws from same hot springs that Atahualpa enjoyed in 1532, and now run through the hotel ground in streaming, open canals. Although the hotel´s architectural style is true to the original 1930s hacienda (including a bullring), all the rooms are outfitted with modern amenities: cable TV, king-size beds, a fridge, and terry cloth bathrobes. Guests truly feel in the lap of luxury, when they slip into their personal and huge, thermal-water-filled tubs. Outside the rooms are a Turkish Sauna, two heated pools, and a professional spa that offers clay treatments, herbal baths, and full-body massages. Next door is the hotel´s fundo, a farm with an organic vegetable garden and an area for children to pet alpacas, parrots, rabbits, turkeys, cows and a pair of monkeys. Rides on Peruvian paso horses are also offered, as are travel agency services, and access to APREC, a non profit dedicated to the area´s Inca trails.
