The hotel draws from same hot springs that Atahualpa enjoyed in 1532, and now run through the hotel ground in streaming, open canals. Although the hotelīs architectural style is true to the original 1930s hacienda (including a bullring), all the rooms are outfitted with modern amenities: cable TV, king-size beds, a fridge, and terry cloth bathrobes. Guests truly feel in the lap of luxury, when they slip into their personal and huge, thermal-water-filled tubs. Outside the rooms are a Turkish Sauna, two heated pools, and a professional spa that offers clay treatments, herbal baths, and full-body massages. Next door is the hotelīs fundo, a farm with an organic vegetable garden and an area for children to pet alpacas, parrots, rabbits, turkeys, cows and a pair of monkeys. Rides on Peruvian paso horses are also offered, as are travel agency services, and access to APREC, a non profit dedicated to the areaīs Inca trails.
