Lonely Planet :
"As its name suggests, the Antigua is an old converted mansion. located in a quite neighborhood, it has elegant lounges decorated with colonial and modern Peruvian art.- The rooms while sporting all the expected modern facilities , also have intringuing antique flourishes. Rooms vary in size and style; the Senorial suites are most sumptuous with Jacuzzi, kitchen and air-con"
By Fodors:
this elegantly appointed hotel is perhaps the city's loveliest lodging. Black-and-white marble floors greet you as you stroll through the antiques-filled lobby. Up the wooden staircase are guest rooms with hand-carved furniture. Those in front have more character, while those in the newer section curve around a graceful fountain. Known for its impeccable service, the hotel sees repeat business year after year.
South America HandBook:
"A beautiful, small and elegant hotel in a quiet but central location, very friendly service, tastefully furnished and decorated, gym, cable TV, good restaurant"
The Rough Guide:
"Pretty central to Miraflores but in a relatively quite spot, it has all modern conveniences but is still very old-fashioned and elegant with gardens and balconies Luxury suites and standard rooms available."
Moon Handbooks Peru:
"This turn-of-the-century mansion has all the comforts of a fine hotel and the warmth and charm of a bed-and-breakfast. The rooms are large, cozy, and handsomely decorated with hand-carved furniture, local art, and warm colors (did we mention the new bathrooms with huge tubs?). There are plush couches in the downstairs sitting room, and breakfast is served in a sunny black-and-white-tiled café decorated with iron furniture."
