EROTIC ART AND PRE-COLUMBIAN ARTIFACTS AT PERU'S MUSEO LARCO

Listed in Lonely Planet as one of six highlights of Lima, the Larco Museum has been updated and doubled in size over a 10-year period, half of that time spent planning and the other half spent building and making the collection more visitor-friendly.

The museum's most important objective is to explain what visitors see and to tell a story. The museum is committed to being not just a place in which to keep objects, but a place that delivers “an entire experience for its visitors.”
It exhibits 3,000 years of pre-Columbian art and artifacts in Peru which are more than 50,000 historical and cultural treasures . Information by the exhibits is given in six languages, including excellent English, .
There will be a free open house on September 22 for the opening of the New Museo Larco.
