ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPAN MUSEUM ATTRACTS MORE EUROPEAN VISITORS
The Royal Tomb of Sipan Museum, located in the northern Peruvian region of Lambayeque, saw an increase of foreign visitors, especially from Europe (Spain and Germany), according to the museum director and discoverer of the Lord of Sipan, Walter Alva.




ARCHAEOLOGISTS FIND INCA FUNERARY SITES IN CUSCO, PERU
Two funerary complexes from the Inca period have been found in the outskirts of Cusco, Peru, Juan Garcia of the National Institute of Culture, announced yesterday.

The funerary complexes cover an area of 25 acres in the archaeological zone of Qhataqasapatallaqta, in the outskirts of the district of Santiago, said García.

The Larco Museum of Lima is an extraordinary collection of Pre-Colombian work in pottery, textiles, silver and gold. It is the personal collection of Rafael Larco Hoyle (1901-1966). The collection is housed in three separate buildings. The largest part of the collection is beautifully installed in the central residence of what was a great hacienda. Two adjacent builds house the storage room of thousands of additional works and the collection of erotic or fertility pottery.
