Mery,
I have misplaced the disk with the photo I wanted to attach to the e-mail of Susan and me overlooking Macchu Picchu.
I have already written to several travel magazines about your superior service.
We were, as promised, met at the airport by a very courteous driver and taken the La Paz Apart Hotel where you reserved a very pleasant apartment for us at a lower price than I could have negotiated myself - and your price included the round trip airport transfers and the fine breakfast. The La Paz was nicely located in Miraflores and while the apartment was not a luxury accommodation, it was clean, tidy, and spacious. The rooftop terrace overlooking Miraflores at the La Paz provided a wonderful spot to relax after a day of touring.
The driver for the transfer from Miraflores back to the airport was prompt; however, that particular driver was took the slowest route (despite the limited traffic at that very early hour in the morning) and drove so slowly that it took almost 45 minutes to get
to the airport.
Our arrival in Cuzco was, again, perfect. Carla and the van greeted us and delivered us promptly to the hotel. The hotel was adequate (we got what we paid for) and the staff at the hotel was excellent. The next morning, the van arrived to take us to the train - Carla had the entire package of tickets and coupons ready for us and we were soon on our way to Agua Calientes.
Agus Calientes was still recovering from the floodwaters. Our hotel was nicely located; however, I guess because of the recent floods, we didn't have running water for most of our stay. The hotel management did what it could to make our stay
pleasant, but had I known their problems with the water supply, I would certainly have stayed elsewhere.
Macchu Picchu and the guided tour were terrific.
Our return to Cuzco was fine and our room at the hotel was ready and waiting with our stored luggage already in the room.
The return to the airport was, once again, perfect - Carla ensured that we were properly checked in and then wished us farewell.
Back at the Lima airport, your excellent driver (best of the bunch) greeted us and saved the day by informing us (phone call from you and then a verifying phone call) us that our flight to Buenos Aires had been changed and was now leaving three hours before the scheduled departure time.
This translated to an abbreviated stay at the San Isidro hotel. The hotel was excellent and we enjoyed the neighborhood more than Miraflores.
In short, you and your agency provided absolutely superior service and I can recommend, without reservation, your services to anyone who travels to Peru.
Thanks again for making this an affordable and rewarding trip to Peru.
Sincerely,
David Cleveland |
