Dear Mery,

we enjoyed finally meeting you albeit briefly before rushing off to an excellent midnight dinner at Astrid y Gaston, the best meal of the trip, except for the cue dinner and Piranha lunch. The swelling on Karen's wrist seems to be getting better each day. I just downloaded the pictures, delayed because of power outages suffered from the fierce storms that greeted our return to LA, and have to review and edit. Karen and I will send you copies by email and give you our comments. The Weimers may choose to do so separately, as they have some different feelings about various aspects of their trip than Karen and I have, as well as different photos.

I just wanted to write and tell you how amazing our trip to Peru was and in particular what an incredible job Peru Travel did as a travel agency. I've traveled all over the world and can truly say that I've never experienced the detailed hands on care that everyone along the way provided.

From pickups for the airports, to reconfirming flights, getting us to and on trains, and I could go on and on. We even had a great surprise in Lima at the Las Americas Hotel when we arrived at 9am and check-in wasn't till after noon. At first they said we couldn't check in and were quite adamant about it. Then when I pulled out the voucher and they saw Peru Travel on it, the desk person called the manager. He then gave us a room immediately.I also heard a rather large heated conversation with a few others on one of the bus tours that you had us on in Lima.

Seems another couple, through another agency, had their tickets missing and their whole agenda all messed up. A few others also began saying how their travel companies had been problematic. Then they asked us, and of course I told them our trip was going perfectly. They had other agencies. Anyway, your people were all super thorough, exceedingly helpful, and above all very very friendly and thoughtful. We both felt like we had close friends in Peru if needed.

I loved Peru and all we saw, and a huge reason for that was how your agency took care of us. Thanks. Not bad for only nailing down the train reservations 12 hours before we left Toronto. Even with the last minute changes, it all still was perfect.
